ACADEMIC OPTIONS | i-Link CST Flexible learning

For summer AY 2019-2020, i-LINK CST will implement Flexible Learning Approach of Class Delivery. The design and delivery of programs, courses, and learning interventions that address learners' unique needs in terms of pace, place, process, and products of learning. It uses digital and non digital technology. Does not necessarily require connectivity (unless the technology used is virtual or collaborative).

OPTIONS:

1. DIGITAL FLEXIBLE LEARNING - Online learning, requires reliable internet connectivity and devices (i.e. any Smartphone, Tablets, Laptops, or other devices that has online connectivity). Learners are not under face to face supervision by teachers in a regular lecture/classroom setting. Favors independent self-learning style outside of a formal classroom. Learners are expected to perform the usual learning activities done by students in traditional classes, course materials are provided for study and teaching/learning is mediated through the use of internet and technology. Homework, other activities, and online class participation must be completed by preset dates and times. You will have deadlines by which to post your work. Classes under this approach will use I-Link CST learning management system.

2. MODULAR FLEXIBLE LEARNING - Offline Learning in the form of printed modules/materials to be completed by learners for a required specified period. Learners still not under face to face supervision by teachers in a normal lecture/classroom setting. It also favors independent self-learning style outside of a formal classroom. Learners are expected to perform the usual learning activities done by students in traditional classes, course modules materials are provided for study. Modules/materials will be physically distributed and submitted at i-Link CST campus. Homework and other activities must be completed by preset dates and times. You will have deadlines by which to submit your work.

Pursuant to IATF-MEID guidelines, modules/materials for learners 21 years old below, will only be distributed to and submitted by Learner's parent and/or guardian (should also be above 21 yrs old and less than 60 years old), no exception. Parents and guardians have the responsibility to pick up and submit modules/materials in the period specified by the Teacher. Learners above 21 yrs old are allowed to pick up and submit the modules/materials.
